Keith Furones
Keith Furones brings 40 years of expertise in the areas of construction management, project development, and hybrid project delivery systems. A third-generation Coloradan, he grew up in the industry. A graduate of the University of Colorado and Colorado State University, he has a well established reputation managing large-scale projects along the front range of Colorado for clients such as Coors Brewing Company and the University of Colorado’s Boulder Campus and Colorado Health Sciences Center.
In 1998, he formed Simpson Furones Partnership, LLC where he practiced Project Development in a consultant’s role. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and implements CSI practices in all of his projects. He developed expertise in environmental issues, as they pertain to water purification, when he headed up the highly sensitive University of Colorado Mountain Research Center’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. For this project, he coordinated six different government agencies by implementing virtual construction management and daily project updates via a dedicated website. The concern of this project was the protection of the endangered species Colorado Native Greenback Trout habitat in nearby Como Creek.
The latter part of his career has been devoted to Resort, Mixed Use, and Infrastructure projects in Latin America. For the last 9 years, an interesting journey has carried him to both coasts of Mexico, Belize, Ecuador and now Panama. Since Panama has the most advanced starting point for development in Latin America, it provides a great opportunity to realize the goal of building a truly environmentally aware and sustainable community model for the future.
