Sustainable Design and LEED Consulting
Green Building or Sustainable Design is the practice of creating structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from site location to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.
Green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:
-
Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
-
Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
-
Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation[1]
We have been involved in sustainable design since the 1981. Our passion ranges from the refurbishment of millions of dollars of office systems furniture (Reuse), to the incorporation of green materials (Recycle), to energy and resource efficiency such as the implementation of renewable energy, wastewater treatment, lighting and more (Reduce).
We are members of the Colorado Green Building Council within the USGBC and have been instrumental in the creation of the Panama Green Building Council under the direction of the World GBC.
We consult on LEED green building certification projects (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
